چکیده
Aim The threats of novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have caused fears worldwide. Fear COVID-19 Scale (FCV-19S) was recently developed to assess the fear COVID-19. Although many studies found that FCV-19S is psychometrically sound, it unclear whether invariant across countries. present study aimed examine measurement invariance eleven Design Cross-sectional study. Methods Using data collected from prior research on Bangladesh (N = 8,550), United Kingdom 344), Brazil 1,843), Taiwan 539), Italy 249), New Zealand 317), Iran 717), Cuba 772), Pakistan 937), Japan 1,079) and France 316), comprising a total 15,663 participants, used multigroup confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) Rasch differential item functioning (DIF) country, gender age (children aged below 18 years, young middle-aged adults between 60 older people above years). Results unidimensional structure confirmed. Multigroup CFA showed partially country fully age. DIF findings were consistent with CFA. Many items displayed for few age, no gender. Conclusion Based results study, good psychometric instrument during pandemic period. Moreover, use supported in at least ten countries satisfactory properties.

Measurement Invariance of a Refined Values Scale
Several studies that measured basic human values across countries with the Portrait Values Questionnaire (PVQ-21) reported violations of measurement invariance. Such violations may hinder meaningful cross-cultural research on human values because value scores may not be comparable. Schwartz et al. (2012) proposed a refined value theory and a new instrument (PVQ-5X) to measure 19 more narrowly d...
متن کاملMeasuring Teacher Job Satisfaction: Assessing Invariance in the Teacher Job Satisfaction Scale (TJSS) Across Six Countries
Work and organizational psychology has long been concerned with measuring job satisfaction in organizational contexts, and this has carried across to the field of education, leading to a research focus on the work-related satisfaction of teachers. Today, a myriad of organizations continue to assess employees' job satisfaction on a routine basis (Liu, Borg, & Spector, 2004). Unfortunately, a sor...
متن کاملAssessing Measurement Invariance of the Teachers’ Perceptions of Grading Practices Scale across Cultures
In a cross-cultural study, it is crucial to understand whether items and the factorial structure of a survey instrument are equivalent across different cultural groups, because items might mean differently to different population groups, and thus the factorial structure of the measurement instrument might not hold across groups. The purpose of this study was to investigate the measurement invar...
متن کاملFurther Psychometric Evaluation of the Self-Stigma Scale-Short: Measurement Invariance across Mental Illness and Gender
BACKGROUND This study cross-validated the factor structure of the Self-Stigma Scale-Short (SSS-S) in a cohort of patients with mental illness in southern Taiwan. The measurement invariance of the SSS-S factor structure across mental illness and gender was also examined. METHODS The sample consisted of 161 patients with schizophrenia (51.6% males; mean age ± SD = 40.53 ± 10.38 years) and 189 p...
متن کاملMeasurement Invariance of the Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale Scores: Does the Measurement Structure Hold across Far Eastern and European Countries?
In recent years, emotional intelligence and emotional intelligence measures have been used in a plethora of countries and cultures. This is also the case for the Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS), highlighting the importance of examining whether the WLEIS is invariant across regions other than the Far Eastern region (China) where it was originally developed. This study investiga...
